Baptism

“For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.” 1 Corinthians 12:13 NIV

“…baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Matthew 28:19 NIV

By accepting the gift of salvation offered to you by God through Jesus Christ, you make the most impactful decision of your life! Boldly following Jesus, believing with your whole heart that His death was payment for your sins and His resurrection is your guarantee of eternal life is the best decision you can make. Baptism is an outward profession of your internal decision to put your faith in Jesus. When we are saved, we are baptized by the Spirit into the Body of Christ, the church.

Please let us know if you’re interested in learning more about baptism. We’d love to speak to or meet with you.  For those who have experienced salvation and completed the New Members Class, Baptisms take place on the 4th Sunday.

Second Baptist also offers a review course for those who have been baptized and would like to gain a deeper understanding of this essential component in our life of faith.
